I replaced a vacuum operated valve (under the hood at the passenger side of the engine compartment) that was leaking in my heating system. It has at least 4 hoses coming off of it. 2 hoses go to the firewall, one hose goes to where the thermostat looks to be, and one hose goes to the water pump. I think I may have connected the hoses wrong because when I try to select something with the dial on the dash and turn on the fan, I hear a noise under the hood that doesn't sound good. As I'm looking at the firewall the 2 hoses that come out of it are arranged next to each other (side by side). They are equal length and attach to the valve one above the other. The hose positioned at the left (at the firewall) attaches to the valve at the top. On the other side of the valve (facing the front), the hose attached at the top of the valve goes to the water pump. I'm afraid that if these are incorrect, I may damage the water pump. Anyone know if this is correct, or know of a diagram that will show me the way?
