Where's the blue wire?

The 2008 Explorer Sport Trac brochure says that all 08 Sport Tracs come Standard with "electric brake controller tap-in capability". Doesn't matter whether you have the 4 pin or the 7 pin. I see under the dash a connector that might be for a brake controller, but there is no blue wire running to the back of the vehicle (only the four for the 4 pin). Any thoughts?

cool Re: Where's the blue wire?

If in fact you have found the right plug you might skin back the cover about 3" and see if the blue is folded back and wrapped over. Same goes for the rear if you have a 4 pole connector. If you can't find the blue wire, check and see if you have voltage to the wire going to the brake lite switch when it is depressed.
white should be grd
black should be +12v
red should be for the brake lite cold side then gets hot upon pressing brake pedal.
blue goes to rear for brakes.
hope this helps
