confused x-spec lowering kit 25570r16 question!?

Hows it going ladies and gents, i own a 99 ford explorer xlt 4.0 sohc, on 255/70R16. I want to buy the X-Spec lowering kit (http://www.explorerexpress.com/xspec-lowering-9501-explorer-p-488.html). My x also has that trim around the fenders, would i enough clearance if i lower it with those size tires on?? Any positive input would be great, thanks

Re: x-spec lowering kit 25570r16 question!?

Mine is lowerwed 3" (which I beleive is what you will get from that kit) and have the same size tires on the rear. my fronts are 225/75 but have ample room left over (the 255s may be a little big for the front) as for the fender flares, I dont have them but they mount outside the opening and I cant see them being an issue, if anything you may have to trim the inside lip.
