This is my brothers car, he had it die several times on him today. I need to know whats wrong with it so i can get it fixed and running without shutting down again. He has one brake light out if that helps, i doubt it, it sounds to me like the gas isnt being feed to the system properly. But he wont listen to me at all, so im asking for everyones help on this thanks.

Some possible causes include:

1. Cracked fuel hoses at the tank or pump
2. Partially plugged fuel pick-up filter in the gas tank
3. Incorrect gas tank cap causing a vacuum in tank
4. Fuel filter needing replacement
5. May have a bad speed distance sensor

There are other things that can be causing this. Have you checked for codes?
