Escort and 4 Cylinder fans follow me..

I need some further convincing.

There is a MkI Escort for sale. The only thing it needs for a roadworthy is a new bonnet (it's pretty rusty) and a new windscreen.

It has a Webber carby, extractors, a sunroof, nice set of rims and is obviously not stock.

Now having two cars already (well one is my sons), and no garage I really want to buy this little beast. I'm going to be moving soon, and I'm going to make sure the place has a garage.

For the huge asking price of $200-, who else thinks I should buy it and see if the guy (friend of a friend) will store it for me until I move?

$200 sounds pretty good - can you drive it around the block? I'm not a big fan of sunroof's in a mk1 though. Is it a 2 door or 4 door?

Re: Escort and 4 Cylinder fans follow me..

You forgot to mention it's a 2 door, 4 speed manual, and that the guy who is a friend of a friend is a LMCT.

But for $200, I don't think you can go wrong - after all, I think you could easily get more then $200 just for a couple of the parts...

mate, for 200 bucks you cant really go wrong, if its got a full motor in it, no matter what size, you could probably sell the engine itself for that money, mark 1 esky's are nice to, ive seen some very very nice ones, seen some sh!t ones to, but like i said, for 200 bucks, id take it
