Hello everyone, just wanna see what kind of V6's we have on here. I'll start first. I own a 1990 Ford Probe LX. It's got the 3.0L V6 (Vulcan - not Duratec) engine. It's a 12v, pushrod, cast iron, cast block, OHV. Been around forever, pretty tough, even in these frigid Alaskan winters (cast iron helps). Overall, in the 5 or so years that I've owned it, I've been satisfied.

Other Ford V6's I've owned in the past was a 1991 Explorer with the 4.0. And a 93' Probe GT with the 2.5L which is really a Mazda motor.

i own one two its the 3.0L vulcan. little underpowerd for the ranger but it still scoots. palns on putting a 5.0L

5.0 Rangers are sweet, I've seen a few of them here around town. Ford really needs a smaller V8 Ranger on the market to compete with trucks like the V8 Dakotas.

I could imagine that in the Ranger the 3.0 would be somewhat underpowered, but in the Probe it makes quite a nice combo.

i got a 97 F-150 4x4 with the 4.2 liter windsor V-6 and it pulls around my 4,200+ lbs truck pretty well.
im hoping for a supercharger upgrade in the future to really bring it to life !

I've never heard of a 4.2 Windsor before. I know that some of the F150's have inline 6's? The only Windsor that I've ever heard of is the 351. Any links or resources you can point to me so that I can check it out?
