Hello,
I'm having trouble with the transmission not wanting to shift when hard on the gas (racing). It really starts when the car is at operating temp. I have had the tranny fluid flushed because of this. What else could it be. If you know please let me know.

It is a axod and it connected to a 3.0 v6 taurus

Just flushing may not work, most places like quick lube do not change the filter,a plugged filter will eat the tranny anyway.Best bet is to change it yourself, if it still does it it's time for a rebuild or new tranny.Tom

you were correct about the flush not being enough come to find out the flush was done poorly. i just resently found that out after changing the filter in the tranny the tranny took a big dump due to the poor quality of fluid. thanks for the heads up.

To bad it dumped anyway, but lesson learned.I usually do them myself so I know it's right, and cheaper.$89.95 vs 30 bucks.Also I rebuild them myself if they are salvageable,saves a few bucks and then I know whats going on inside.Also when replacing any tranny you should always replace the tourque converter,Sometimes they are weak also and it'll burn up again....Tom
