I just took my Mustang in for a new transmission and had an 8 cyclinder GT tranny put it (auto) bcuz i am eventually gonna do an engine swap and i want the tranny to take it, besides my old one was going. Now that the cars back its still hesitating only at times. I took it in and they told me it doesnt need a tune-up and they changed my gas and ari filters. Yet there are still times that the accelration is so quick all i do is tap the pedal and im off, a little extra push and ill squeak the tires. Yet at other times im pushing the pedal halfway to the floor and im still not accelerating nearly as quick (from a stop) and i use a lot more gas n it dosnt go anywhere. THe engine rev's higher to about 2,500 RPMS and goes not nearly as quick as other times only getting to 1,500 rpms. I culd jab it to the floor and not even get a squeak out of the tires. Yet other days im amazed at the difference in the pickup i feel like im driving a different car. HELP!
