well I've recently read that Honda will be bringing a accord diesel to the US by 2009 and I'm wondering why on earth Ford doesn't do the same. We are a Ford family and my husband loves his f250 diesel, the fuel economy is great. I would buy a escape diesel in a heartbeat or a fusion or edge but NO can't get a diesel here. UGh!!!!!!!!!

They have them in Europe the fusion, escort, Ka just about everything.
They do exist, the Mondeo is much like a Taurus.
pretty roomy, quite sporty handel great, and takes off like a petrol engine.
Amazing amounts of power from a farily small engine 1.8 -2 litre.
It is possible to get these cars over in the US and since they are diesel they are not import restricted like gasoline imports.
Buying one used like an ex fleet car.
I had a couple as company cars great fun plus lots of whistles and bells.
