Diesel Fairlane ???

Driving some of the latter trucks lately with 7 Litre motors I would say iff a Fairlane had similar though lighter engines they would realy be good crussing the Australian outback.I mean the Isuzu 7.1 ohc realy rips for a medium sized truck up to 120 kph with good fuel consumption with the weight of a truck. Imagine how good one would be in a Fairlane with ideal gearing??? These new motors don't knock and smoke like the old diesels of the past..
