i have an eb falcon sedan bodyshell which is complete exept for engine and gearbox. i was wondering would it be possible to put a 7.3 l turbo diesel v8 in it. would it fit? wot would i have to do to get it to fit, ect?
thanx,
lorosute
I don't think you've got a hope. Try to have a look under the bonnet of an F series, the turbo is actually above the engine at the rear of the engine bay, the F series has a lot more height under the bonnet.
well... i plan on trying it, but i need dementions first. if anyone has full dementions, including engine mount location, i would love to hear from you. as for gearbox, i was thinking along the lines of a tremec tko. these gearboxes have a very good reputation in australia. another gearbox i have thought of is very expensive but very strong. it's a hollinger 6speed gearbox. it is what they use in v8 supercars.
No it wont fit .. no way .
Westrac uses the s/c intercooled diesel Effies & im telling you now, unless you either 1 put the drivers seat on the roof or 2 Fit a super-super high lift kit to the chassis theres not enuff room.
Sorry to kill that dream.
