Installing a diesel into an Explorer or Expedition - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I don't believe Ford makes an Explorer or Expedition with a diesel, I could be wrong. How difficult would it be to install a diesel into one of theses vehicles? I was thinking about a diesel from a Ford pickup. Would it connect to my exsisting trans without any problems? Would I have major problems with cooling or engine mounts. I'm new to the forum, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oh I forgot to ask if this is possible what year engine would be easiest to install? The Explorer is a 2000 with a 4.0 v-6 and the Expedition is a 2003 with I think a v-8 4.6 or maybe 5.4, I'm not certain. thanks again.
