Getting away from my EL Falcon, my other hack is an 85 diesel Hilux. After 315,000 k's, the injector pump started leaking more fuel than it was injecting, and when faced with a grand worth of reconditioning work, I got a pump from the wreckers. The numbers on the plate were a little different from the pump I pulled out, but now I've put the wrecker's pump in, I've found a huge reduction in power! I never used to use 1st gear before, I could use 4th gear to climb hills at 40kmph. Now, it seems there's a huge reduction in power and torque.
Does anyone know what the numbers on the aluminium plate riveted to the side of the injector pump mean? They're painted on in yellow paint (in my case). Is it something to do with delivery pressure?
I'm looking at getting my original pump recond'd just to get my old truck back!

those number on the side refer to the amount of fuel injected to each cylinder and the stroak of the pistions in the injectors if you could send me the numbers of both pumps i'll have a look at it and try to lend a hand

As long as you got your timing correct wind in the full load set screw for some more fuel till she smokes and back it off a little
