02 Escape Headlight Relay
I arrived home one night and the headlights would not turn off. The dash lights went out normally. I opened the fuse/ relay box under the hood and started tapping on the relays. The lights went off. There after when I would go to turn on the lights they would ether flash and go off or not come on. I could turn them on and off several times and they would eventually catch and stay on then turn off normally.
I went to NAPA for a relay. They did not have a listing for a headlight relay for an Escape. I went into the parking lot and pulled the HL relay from the fuse box and took it in. The relay for the Ford Ranger looked the same. I put it in and it seems to work fine.
