I want the interior lights to come on when the door opens. . . simple enough, right? Both the switches are set to "door", but nothing happens when any of the doors open. The lights come on just fine in the on position. Any suggesions?

Funny enough I just got off the telephone with my mother who has recently purchased a 2008 Escape and is encountering the same difficulty. She is suppose to come to my house tomorrow... Please let me know if you uncover anything and I will do the same. Cheers.

All, the direction for that I found in the alarm info, if you have the alarm. If not it should just be slected on the light itself if I am not mistaken.

Had the same problem on an 09 Mariner just purchased for my wife. Simple fix.....make sure the dimmer switch for the instrument panel is not in the fully "open" position. One you move it slightly, your interior lights will come one when the dome light is set to the door (middle) setting

I just picked up my 09 escape and yes i had the same issue.The dimmer switch was turned right down.
