New member so pardon my ignorance. Recently picked up a used '08 Limited for the wife and trying to get through the "I want's list". Its a sweet, clean, sharp looking little rig with heated leather and all but the only thing missing is remote start. It came with remote entry (RKE) and security (VSS) installed, now I need to add remote start (RMST) and I'm wondering which modules and kits that involves and how much is already in place.

Easiest thing would be to contact the local Ford Dealer but sorry we don't have one here anymore and that would require throwing it on a boat because our roads all dead end hundreds of miles short of the nearest one.

I've done several aftermarket remote installs on other rigs with okay results but I would rather do a standard FoMoCo on this one since it seems to have already been engineered.

I've found the Ford downloads to the install's for the various RKE, VSS and RMST kits and just need to figure out what I have now and what I need to add. Specifically, which "Type-A" module assembly, "Software Cartridge" and "A-B-C" wiring harness configuration.

Anyone been down this road?
