Re: 08 mariner trans fluid
2008 mariner 3.0 V6
As a rule of thumb, about 50-65% of fluid will be drained when you drop the transmission pan. Roughly 5-6 quarts should be required to fill it for a standard fluid change. I know my Taurus is roughly 7 quarts, and the total capacity is 10-11 quarts.
CAPACITIES:
Engine, with filter..........6.1 quarts [1]
Cooling System, Initial Fill..........10.5 quarts
Automatic Transmission, CD4E Initial Fill..........Not Specified
Automatic Transmission, Total Fill
4 speed CD4E..........10.1 quarts
Differential, Rear..........3 pints [2]
Transfer Case, PTU..........0.9 pints
[1] After refill check oil level.
[2] Fill to no more than 1/4 to 9/16 inch below fill plug hole.
