Keep in mind that all warranties are if something happens. We can't fortell the future, at least I can't, so, if you have the green to spare - go for it. On my Escape 2009-Hybrid, the manufacture's drive-train warranty is 10 years or 100,000 miles, in fact the service department checked the computer and said that the warranty on the batteries was 10 years or 150,000 miles. I hope this car gives you the service I have been getting with mine - SUPER!
