Hi,
I have a couple of questions about an 09 escape with navigation and sync.

The ford.ca website and the book that came with the navigation states that the navigation has text to speech and turn by turn but when im in destination mode it does not say the street name when telling me to turn. Is there a setting i a missing? I couldn’t find anything in the book.

My second question is about the small display on top of the dash. Is there a way to make the song or the radio station be displayed on that small display as well (instead of just on the navigation screen). Right now that small display just shows the ext temp, the time and the mode the radio is in.

I have the 2009 Hybrid with the NAV/Sync in it. I have noticed that just before you turn, the system does not say the name of the street, just the two beeps, but as or after you are on to the street I think it gives the name. I normally have the screen set for 0.25 mile or the one next higher, so have a pretty good idea if it is the right street. I always keep in mind that system is super, but it is secondary to my own ideas of what I will do:)
About putting the read-out up to the area of the time, sorry to say - nope, those are fixed up there.
I truly do wish they would come up with an update to make those Temp - Time etc, read outs a lot brighter, they are very hard to see in sunlight.
Just remembered, there is a place in Navigation Preferences where you can choose to see the street names, I have mine turned on, perhaps that has something to do with your question, check it out.
