2001 Escape alternator install?? Any direction? - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey guys.

I just bought an 01 escape for a car audio car... unfortunately im reading that the alternator is a pain the arse to remove/install. If anyone has done this, is it something I can try and do myself, or do you reallllly need to know what you're doing??

Also if anyone knows where I can get directions online that would be great.

I am ALSO looking to remove my oil pan. ANybody know if you have to take off the exhaust at all ( I breifly looked at it).

2WD or 4WD? What engine? I'll see if I can look up some info for you.
