I have a 2001 ford escape. The presure side hose bolt has come loose and im loosing power steering fluid. I can't get to the nut to tighten it down even after removing the motor mount support. I have to take off the pully. It's just a bolt holding it on it's not pressed on. I cant lodge the pully and turn the nut there is nothing or no way to lodge it. is it wise to pull the fuel injection fuse so it won't start and crank the engine once while holding or bracing the nut so it can't move? I have been told this is how to break the nut free. Im worried I will damage the power steering pump/seal. Advice?

Thanks

Hard nuts!

I'd try some penetrating oil...soak it every five to ten minutes and in about half an hour, try to find the longest tool possible for leverage and heave the sucker off. I wouldn't run the engine over for leverage, as you can break other things!
