2001 Odometer LCD Doesn't iluminate ?

All of sudden the LCD odometer display on my 2001 Escape does not illuminate. Are there any fuses connected with this symptom or does the grain of wheat bulb need replacing or do you replace the whole instrument cluster. If so then I go buy small LED lite and glue it to my dash.

Every other lite on the instrument console works and the dimmer works as well.

cheers
kevin

mine has the same problem how would i go about replacing it? Is i a fuse that i need to replace will i have to replace the whole LCD screen or is there just a bulb i need to replace? Either way how much does it cost to get it done or how hard is it to DIY ( do it yourself )

if it's just a bulb, take the das apart enough to get the intrument cluster out and pull the old one out and put the new one in...

Just remove the cluster and look for the bulb.
