2002 Escape-Door Locked via Fob, Lost Fob, how to start SUV? - Ford Forums

Hello there. I have a problem, well actually my gf does. She just lost a set of keys while at a convention. The 2002 Escape was locked via the Fob so when she got a ride home she found a spare key but has no Fob. Now the car will unlock, but the car will not start because of the Fob activated the locks. How do you circumvent the system? I remember last time both keys were lost and had to pay like 135$ for 2 keys made at the dealer and 20$ for 1 Fob. Thanks alot.

If the original PATS keys were lost, then you will have to do what you did before at the Dealer.

They will have to make a minimum of 2 keys and program them.
