Question 2002 Escape Power Window Controls

Sure glad I found this forum. It looks great.

I just purchased a 2002 Escape XLT and just love it. I even have one of those Sirius satellite radios in it.

My question is about the power window controls on the driver's door. Are all the controls supposed to be illuminated at night? The only one that illuminates on my vehicle is the driver's window control. The dealer told me that this is the only one that illuminates.

Is this correct? Hopefully some other 2002 Escape owners can comment.

Thanks in advance.

Dealer is correct. I have even looked at other Escapes and tested this out.

Thanks for confirming. It is rather strange though. What would a couple of extra bulbs cost?

My previous Explorer and Expedition had all these controls illuminated. I guess it just doesn't look right to me.

Yeah, I've got one as a loaner and it's the same. Real hard to get used to. The same goes for the mirror controls which are impossible to find at night.

Window switch lights

My 2002 XLT Escape is the same. The main window switches is only illuminated on the driver's window switch. I've noticed that if you deactivate the passenger window switches, their lights turn out. That's pretty cool.
