2002 Escape Towbar fitting?
Hi guys, we need desperate HELP!!! Me being the spendthrift that I am, bought a factory Ford towbar for my 2002 Escape on Ebay for $150, fittings and all!! Poor hubby goes out this morning to fit it, wiring not a problem (being the truck driver that he is!) but come time to fit the actual bar.....the bolts went straight through into the pre drilled holes, but how does he get a nut in behind them??? They fit into a tubular type steel being the chassis I imagine, but with no nut up behind them and no way of getting one in??? BUGGAR! Has anyone ever fitted one of these please, I would appreciate some knowledge, or my bargain has gone out the window if I have to take it in to a towbar place (not to mention my hubbies truckie pride) Thanks
