Exclamation 2002 Escape XLT Electrical Issues

My husband called to say that he had random issues while driving to work tonight. The radio turned on and off, the ABS didn't seem to be working, and the key fob didn't lock the car properly. I did some searching and ran across that it could be a leak causing corrosion in the fuse box under the dash or in the engine compartment which is a TSB that Ford sent out. My question is would this be covered under a warranty, would it be expensive if not, or are seals easy to DIY? We just bought it in December and still owe 6k on it so having to put out a ton of cash wouldn't be much fun.
