I have a 2002 XLT 4x4 with 140,000 kilometers.

When I am sitting at a stop light and the truck is idling, the RPM's will decrease for a split second, then go back to normal. It almost sounds like it is going to die when it happens.

Anyone have any ideas what this is?

Not sure if my problem posted will help, but 2002 XLT V6 w/ 50K Miles was having problems while I was idling w/ my foot on the break at stop lights earlier this week. The RPM's were not changing, but the engin sounded like they should be, and the care was shaking w/ the noise. The Dealer Diagnosis, water in one of ignition coil and spark plug, it's fixed now, but I'm disputing them for charging me under warranty. Apparently there's a huge amout of labor replacing or drying an igniton coil as it's buried in the engine near the fire wall- and because you have 6.
