Found this bizzare issue with a 2003 Ford Escape with a lot of clicking and buzzing under the dash. I'm almost certain it's a relay that's being flipped over and over again by a bad switch, but I'm not certain which circuit is the culprit. The problem I'm having is that it's not consistent, after the car is started it may buzz and then last anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes and then stop. I've tried all the switches on the steering column, door switches and I can't find the stupid cause. I'm about 5 minutes away from ripping the dash off and I'm hoping that someone has replaced a faulty switch with similar symptoms.
Symptoms
1. Buzzes after starting behind dash for 30 seconds to 30 minutes
2. Always stops within 30 seconds of turning car off
3. Doesn't stop even when moving switches for headlights, brake and other misc accessories.
Any Ideas?
