2004 Escape hazards lights on automatically

This morning when i walked out the door i noticed my wife's 2004 Escape hazard lights were flashing. They were not flashing when i came in from work last night. I tried starting it but obviously the battery was dead. After i jumped it the hazards still flashed.

Any clue as to what would cause this and how to fix this issue. Thanks in advance for your help.

Also is there a fuse for just the hazards i can pull that will stop the flashing until i have time to work on it.

Fuse 20, but it would stop the turn signals too. Does the switch button stay up?

Do you mean that hazard light relay could be bad? If so would that cause the hazard lights to just start blinking in the middle of the night by themselves?

Not an auto electrician , just a suggestion when I seen you were looking for a fuse to pull . Dont know if that would be seperate circuit from indicators or not .

If the turn signal, (combination switch) is bad, that has the hazards as a part of it.
