2005 Escaape Lmtd ONE week old dies while driving, at dealer 2nd time

Beautiful 2005 Escape Limited (W/Luxury Pkg...heated seats, mirrors) at the dealer for 2nd time within first week of leasing it. Abs light flashes on while driving and within 30 seconds dies.

#1 at dealer: 108 ground between engine and transmission fixed
(Cd player+ headlights+turn signal dead, air bag light flashed...somehow by pumping on gas pedal it started up and got it to dealer.)

#2 at dealer: Ordering a processor. Sits for 5 days at dealer till part arrives.
(This time, engine would not turn-over at all so it was towed to dealer; CD player worked, airbag light did not flash, no headlights.) There it sits as I write today.

Questions:

1) Would a processor prevent the ENGINE from turning over? There was nothing when turning key.

2) Can I request a different vehicle? Have them keep that one and give me a different new one? When you are driving-moving and the car just dies on the road...well, lucky I wasn't rear-ended ...2X! I have 2 YEARS to go on lease!

Any info or suggestions are appreciated.

Talk to the leasing company or if it is Ford then discuss it with the dealer. You may be able to turn it around if you have not been on the lease too long. Just CYA with all the documentation from every service and every time it has been looked at.

Re: 2005 Escaape Lmtd ONE week old dies while driving, at dealer 2nd time

Results as of 3-4-05

Dealer offered loaner, much appreciated. (Documented everything.)
Dealer replaced ProcessorA 116857 (FP 5L8Z-124A650) within 6 days.
Did not pick up Escape.
>Pointed out that Processor did not explain ALL problems, and they should recheck.

Next day Dealer called again.
Dealer found Alternator bad ASY 923711 (FP 5L8Z-10346KA), so replaced it.
Picked up Escape after 8 days and BOTH parts were replaced and tested.

So far so good.
