2005 Escape Service

I just bought from a Ford dealer a used 2005 Escape with approximately 10,000 miles which was given a 10,000 milage service (oil change, etc). The Ford manual says to have the next service at 15,000 miles but the Ford dealer shows on the little winshield sticker that the next service should be at 13,000 miles.

I do only "normal" driving so is it OK to go to 15,000 for the next service??

This is normal. The dealership knows that driving habits are far from perfect so they suggest that you come in for service sooner than the "Maximum" milage to have you vehicle serviced. The 15,000 mile limit is a max. milage you should go before service. I have my service done on my truck and hybrid 2000-3000 miles sooner than the suggested service interval. Just good practice.
