HI All,

I'm having troubles with getting trailer lights to work on my boat with my 2005 Escape.

I have installed two Draw-tite wiring modules into my escape it will work for a while and then go out. The trailer works fine on my F250 and my dad's Expiedition.

a. No turn signals or brake lights

b. Running lights will only work if I turn lights on vechicle and then plug in the trailer. If I turn my lights off and back on then the running lights won't work until I unplug them and then plug them back up.

Can anyone tell me what the issue may be with the trailer module?

I've read somewhere about somebody having a similiar issue. The problem is that the extra load of the trailer circuit is tripping a high current draw sensing in the vehicle. All lighting goes through the Smart Junction Box. As I recall, they contacted the manufacturer of the module who replaced it with a updated model. I don't remember what make they were using.
