2005 Ford Escape Hybrid, 4x4

Hello,

I'm having ignition problems with my 2005 Ford Escape Hybrid. The problem started about 6 weeks ago, and it has happened at least once a week since then. I'll turn the key, and the engine won't start - then the computer goes through a series of commands ("check engine, check emissions," etc. etc.) I've taken the car to two Ford dealerships to get the problem resolved... unfortunately, they can't replicate the error (and, therefore, can't fix the problem).

Does anyone else have this problem? If so, did it get resolved?

First, did you get a recall notice to have the hybrid battery worked on. This needs to be done. A corrided connector may cause various problems.

Second, the 12V battery in the engine compartment needs sufficient charge to start the engine. Your vehicle's battery may need replacement or check.

Other? I don't know.
