2006 Escape XLT Sport - 4WD?

I've decoded my VIN but still can't tell if it is 4WD or not. Is there a site that lists ALL the specs for a car by VIN or any other means? Thank you.

2006 Escape -
VIN 1FMYU93136KC35551

Re: 2006 Escape XLT Sport - 4WD?

The only way to get the full specs as it left the Factory is to email Ford, or have your dealer punch it into their computer (much faster this way) and they can tell you what the vehicle came with as it left the factory.

An easier way to check is to look under the rear for an axle assembly. If there is an axle ( rear driveshaft) then you have a 4wd.

This is all I could muster online:

Re: 2006 Escape XLT Sport - 4WD?

Thank thank you -- not sure where you got all that info from the VIN number but it looks like I do have a 4WD. You're a peach. I will take a look at the rear to see if an axle assemply is there. I went on Google to find out what a rear driveshaft looks like so I can figure it out.
