Does anybody have any idea how to disable the Daytime Running Lights on a 2006 Ford Escape XLT? I checked for fuses labeled DRL under the hood and inside the Passenger Cabin and pulled a couple but those just turned off the low beams altogether. I tried to look for the module but have no idea what it looks like or where it is.

This is a difficult task as up here (Ontario) all vehicles are sold with running lights. I'm not even sure if they'd be in repair manuals such as Chilton/Haynes, but it may be worth a shot. I despise the daytime running lights as well, but we gotta have'm up here. I would guess that the module would be around the PCM or the battery. The likelihood of it being labelled would be a great plus but again, unlikely.
