2006 Ford Escape XLT V6 Transmisson Vibration

Hello All,

My wife has a 2006 Escape 4x4 automatic with about 112600 miles. It has a mild vibration at idle. Feel it in the steering wheel and seat. Very noticeable. This vibration only occurs when transmission is engaged. If i put it into neutral the vibration goes away instantly. Same as park. Same goes once you take your foot off the brake and start to go..vibration is gone. Goes down the freeway smooth. Fluid looks nice and clean. She says this has been this way for a long long time.. Like 6 to eight months. Any thoughts appreciated
TIA
