hi guys we baught a new 08 escape xlt and it has been nothing but trouble, weve had the brakes replaced twice, and now we broke down in wilkes barre on our way home to new jersey and wer stuck for 2 days and they are sayings it is the trans now the tourque converter. has anybody else heard of these problems.

At a little over 7K miles, there was a bad vibration which we thought was a wheel bearing. Turns out it was a bad bearing in the transmission. The dealership replaced all the bearings, a gear, a spindle, seals and gaskets - basically they rebuilt the transmission.
Then, at 10,3000 miles, the dealership replaced front rotors and pads. The pads were down to the metal, and the rotors had chips missing out of them.

We have not had any brake problems here I wonder if its a location problem.

Yes I saw one review on edmunds.com he has had a ton of brake problems.
