Re: 2008 escape issues

At a little over 7K miles, there was a bad vibration which we thought was a wheel bearing. Turns out it was a bad bearing in the transmission. The dealership replaced all the bearings, a gear, a spindle, seals and gaskets - basically they rebuilt the transmission.
Then, at 10,3000 miles, the dealership replaced front rotors and pads. The pads were down to the metal, and the rotors had chips missing out of them.

Well... how drivable is it, how much do you want to spend on it, how mechanical are you... or do you want to be?
