2008 escape PCM interchangeability

hello
have a 2008 ford escape with a bad PCM pn: 8L8A-12A650A-ALB and catchcode SJE1.

the replacement PCM is : 8L8A-12A650-BEA catchcode SVE0.

the big question is: will the second PCM fit and start the car normally ?

FYI i have the ford dealer programming device.

thanks

Looking at the numbers on the PCM, they're similar, but can't tell if it's a drop in replacement. Do you know what the new one was supposed to go in?

Should run the engine, might need the programming tweaked.

Re: 2008 escape PCM interchangeability

never sucess, what a loss, they offered 600$ if i start her up.

im pretty sure it was an instrument cluster problem since the keys were programmed and THEFT is solid for one minutes then flashed twice then once respectively.

did IC reprogramming, etc, and the problem went worse because after i did parameter reset in PATS SECURITY, the old PCM wont start the engine as the new pcm, with the same THEFT light activity above.

big :wall:

Re: 2008 escape PCM interchangeability

So your problem was the theft security?
