Re: 2008 Escape seat cleaning

Cloth or leather seats?

Most cleaning products will not stain or discolour the seats. There are several options, from a shampoo vacuum to a steam jet system. Most get 95% of the solution out of the seats and are very effective at getting rid of not only dirt, but allergens and bacteria!

Leather seats it's best to use a two step system, a pre-clean and then a conditioner afterwards.

Re: 2008 Escape seat cleaning

The "cloth" recycled tan seats on my '08 Escape are the worst seats I've ever had to try to clean. Nothing seems to work and in fact attempts to do so makes the stain look worse. My dealer (North Bay Ford - Santa Cruz) acted as if they had no idea what I was talking about. I keep my cars CLEAN, but the seats on my Escape look like they're 10 years old already.
The only method I haven't tried is some sort of steam cleaner. That might work but they'll return to their old spotted and stained self in a matter of months.
