2008 Ford Escape Limited

Hi all,

Just purchased an 08 Escape LTD, fully loaded except Navi and chrome wheels and was wondering how you all think it will tow my 2000lb bass boat? I know the capacity is 3500lbs but just wanted to get an idea if any of you have towed with one before. Thanks!

JJ

Re: 2008 Ford Escape Limited

not too many will have towed with the NEW Escape yet but I owned a 2001 and the underpinnings are virtually identical.

I pulled a steel, enclosed motorcycle trailer with street bike all over the eastern half of the United States with mine.
I pulled a car on a tow dolly (exceeding the weight limit) 75 miles with mine.

my recommendation is to change the trans fluid religiously and use good quality fluid. I got 120000 HARD HARD miles outta my trans and I pulled a trailer all the time

Thanks! That's what I was hoping to hear. I got it last Saturday and everything is great so far!

Did you change the differential oil to synthetic?

You should have no problems towing that with that Escape! There is already synthetic fluid in it. Happy Fishing!
