2008 Ford Escape Squeaking???What is it?

Hi all,

Recently, my 2008 Escape Limited with 210000 kms has started squeaking. Now I know this is a hard one to trouble shoot online but just looking for ideas of what it may be.

I checked the vehicle with my Brother inlaw who is a licenced tech and we could not figure it out yet.

The sqeaking sounds like something turning round and round and gets faster as you apply the gas in drive. At idle or park and reverse it does not happen. We checked out the brakes and they are good and all the front end parts seem okay.

It sounds like it is coming from the LF of the car. Could this be a belt? Would it only happen in drive as you accelerate. Also, it seems to go away at about 50-60 km/h.

Just checking if any of you have had a similar experience. Thanks!

JJ

Does it happen when you press the gas in park?
Did you put the vehicle on jack stands and drive it with wheels off the ground to help isolate location?
I would try that to help narrow down source
