Has anyone noticed this?? I have a 2008 ford escape limited and noticed a lot of up and down scratches on the side windows of the car!!! I noticed this after the winter and i also see it in the fleet of ford escapes at my work place in the brooklyn ship yard area. What is causing this?? I have a 2006 ford fusion and there was a TSB on the window actuater and frame being on too tight. they had to adjust the frame and put them within spec. Ive also noticed them on the escapes i walked by in the mall. What the friken hell. I lubed the weather stripping when i bought the car 5 months ago but it didnt really helped. I called ford and they said that is not covered under warranty!!! Any help is appreciated.

dirt/sand seems to get trapped into the felt really easy.

I've noticed the same thi8ng on my 2008 Escape. Small scratches appearing on the windows. Can't wait to see see if they try to gig me when I turn in the lease.

Hey i have an 08 XLT escape and ive also noticed the same thing. I suspect it is from scraping the ice and tiny particles of dirt scratching the window? Im not sure. Ive also noticed ive got lots of tiny stone chips all over my windscreen as well, i only use mine for local driving so it must be very "soft" glass. lol.

soft glass??? i heard the 2008 ford escapes have laminated acoustic winshield and windows but softer i dont think so. i notice its thicker and sounds quieter when you knock on it compared to other cars ive tested. i really think its a design problem.

I have a 2009 ford escape and all the windows are scatching very easily. Has anyone else having this problem? Can anything be done?
