Hi Guys, this is my first post but i just bought an '09 Escape XLT 4WD. It is the V6 and i have to say that I love it so far. My question is that I do not have any badging sayig it is 4 wheel drive but it definitley is. Did they remove the badging for 2009 for this or do i need to go back to the dealer. Please let me know if anyone knows.

My 09 says 4wd on the hatchback just below escape.

To make sure, look at your rear axle...is it there...or is it not.

Yes, mine is definitely 4wd so guess it is time to call the dealer and have them put one on.

I wouldn't have them put it on. Just pick up the badge and store it away. Once you decide to sell, then put the badge on yourself. It'll look a LOT better for a pending sale than it would with 80K and several years on it.

just buy one and put it on yourself when ready to sell

and its a hell of a lot cheaper to do yourself, as the dealer can charge you for it if they want(we don't as its kind of stupid, but others do)
