Just short of 19000 miles, have found that I get best performance and milage from 89 octane, not the low and not the high. Now getting 34 mpg in City driving, various routes and destinations. Been trying independent, Chevron, Mobil, Union 76, Shell, and a few others. It looks like the Mobil is giving me the best milage so far, NO I don't own shares in Mobil:) Second was Union 76.
Had a case of tires cracking Michilens, but bought their LT tire to replace, had a front end alignment, and all is doing good. I noticed in some of the ads I was looking at for new tires, there was a note:
"low roll resistance." I got the ones with "yes" figuring the Hybrid part would appreciate it. Maybe that also helped. No complaints on the vehicle yet, except that Ford should have marketed them much better.
Oh, I got an ad from the Ford Dealership where I go for service, and they made me an offer of just over eighteen thousand for the car, they said because, they were short of quality used cars - pardon my laughing. They can't have THAT car back EVER, it is my last vehicle, unless maybe the flying motorcycle becomes available at a reasonable price:)
Best to all owners, hope that all is well.
