I have a 2003 escape 3.0L FWD. It has 90k miles on it, right now it has 5w/20 mobil 1 oil. It all of a sudden started ticking. It is worse when the engine is cold, quieter when warmed up. It sounds like it is coming from the back (right) side of the motor. A local mechanic said it is a lifter and to add Rislone to the oil. He said it should eventually stop. I saw that there was a bulletin on the left side cam caps, but not the right. Does any one have any insight on this?

Best bet is to check online or visit a dealer for the latest in TSB's (Technical Service Bulletins). Where did you see the bulletin?
