Accel DFI for Escape and Tribute? - Ford Forums

well i was planning on getting one of this Accel DFi Ford power processors...and my question is i know it works on most years of the Escape but it says it only works on the 05 tribute and mine is an 03 so does it still work cuz its pretty much the same as the 03 Escape but i dont know..is the pcm on the Escape the same as the Tribute?...i need to know before buying any help would be appreciated thanks..

Mazda tuned their vehicles different even though they used Ford parts. I'd check with the shop you wish to purchase it from and they can inquire if it'd be OK to use. If I didn't have any other information than what you mentioned, I'd either inquire more with the manufacturer/seller, or leave it alone.

thanks...i checked where they had it and they weren't any help...do u know about any programmer or chip of some kind for the 03'mazda tribute to eliminate the speed limiter cuz right now i get stuck at 100mph and it sucks i haven't had any luck finding one for it..thanks
