Tongue Anyone driven off road in an Escape on Sand?

Concerned about this single stage transmission 4wh or AW Drive system. Wondering if anyone has driven one on Outer Banks, NC and was wondering if it was capable?

Re: Anyone driven off road in an Escape on Sand?

Your Expedition would be better suited for trail duty but as long as the conditions aren't too severe (no rain mixed in with the sand etc) it should perform just fine.

Cant tell you on sand, but tried mine (09 4x4) in snow (1 -2 foot fresh powder) and it just goes and goes...even if I cant lock anything I found the 4wd system to be effective!
