Assist Handle Passanger side 2008 Escape - Ford Forums

Does anyone know if there is a kit available to add a assist handel to the passanger side of a 2008 Ford Escape XLT? I am refering to the one inside, just above door, overhead. I had a 2002 Escape that had one. I have been to the dealer, talked to salesman, service dept., no one seems to know.
Any help would be appreciated.

I am guessing that there is not. I am reasonably sure that the reason we do not have one is the side and curtain airbags, and I bet the mount for that handle would impede the performance of these airbag systems.
