In search of an auto transmission.2 wheel drive,3.0 DOHC.Are there any other ford vehicles that would use the same trans?

There may be a mazda application but you might have to look for an older model, as most other models ditched the 4-speed a long time ago. Actually I don't think any ofthe MAzdas ever had a 4-speed auto and the duratec V6 besides the Tribute. C4DE was used I think in the Ford Probe, MX6, and maybe the Contour.

Maybe a Ford Taurus with the 3.0 duratec is a close match?

Finding one from an escape or tribute is your best bet I think.
