Hi, I bought a new Escape here in Taiwan in summer 2011. This is the old style which is still marketed here now. I have been happy with the vehicle but some really basic things frustrate the heck out of me! The one thing which aggravates me every single time I drive it is the lack of a clock. I simply cannot believe that it wasn't fitted with a clock - even my 61 TBird had a clock. When I have talked to the dealer about this their answer is that you can see the time when you turn on the entertainment system. Ok, but I don't always want to have that turned on simply to see the time. Before I go out and buy a cheap stick-on clock (really....I can't believe I am going to have to stick a battery operated clock on the dash) are there any better solutions?

Well, my '73 doesn't have a clock, I believe it was an option.I also owned a Taurus that had a clock in the dash and on the radio and I couldn't figure out why I needed 2 clocks.
My suggestion: turn the radio on so you can see the clock and if you don't want to hear it, turn it down.
Just checked on our Ford cars here and they all show the time and date even when the radio off . Might be worth checking radio hand book , settings , menu .
